History: The Department of Chemical Engineering at Fırat University has been offering a Master's with Thesis program since 1983.
Degree Awarded: Upon successful completion of at least seven courses, a seminar course, and a thesis study—totalling no less than 21 national credits and 120 ECTS credits (60 ECTS per academic year)—students are awarded a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, provided that they meet all program qualifications.

Advancement to Higher Degree Programs: Graduates may apply to doctoral programs, provided they meet the necessary requirements such as GPA and language proficiency.
Graduation Requirements: Students must complete at least seven courses, a seminar, and a thesis with a minimum of 120 ECTS credits. In addition, the student must successfully defend their thesis before an appointed jury.
Career Opportunities: Graduates can work in R&D departments or production facilities in both public and private sectors, or start their own business.

History: The Department of Chemical Engineering at Fırat University has been offering a Ph.D. program since 1986.
Degree Awarded: Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Chemical Engineering.
Admission Requirements: Applicants must hold a Master’s degree and meet the following criteria:
Minimum score of 55 in ALES (in the relevant field)
Minimum score of 55 in YDS (or equivalent recognized language exam)
Master’s GPA of at least 75/100
Evaluation Criteria:
50% ALES score
20% Master's GPA
20% Language exam score
10% Scientific evaluation exam (written and oral)
Candidates must attend both the written and oral parts of the scientific evaluation. Failure to attend either will result in disqualification. Applicants scoring 70 or above will be ranked, and the final list of accepted candidates will be determined accordingly. In case of a tie, the undergraduate GPA is considered.
Advancement Opportunities: Graduates may pursue careers in research and development or academia, and may be employed in R&D departments of private companies or as faculty members at universities.
Graduation Requirements: Completion of 9 professional courses, KMÜ7010 Doctoral Seminar, KMÜ7030 Doctoral Qualifying Exam, and KMÜ7020 Doctoral Thesis. All components must be completed successfully.
Career Opportunities: Graduates can work in R&D or production departments of both public and private sector enterprises, or become entrepreneurs.
